The main cause of foot odor (smelly feet) is germs that produce bad-smelling substances. Moisture creates the environment that fosters bacterial and fungal growth. The foot is prone to moisture since it has the highest concentration of sweat glands of the entire body and is enclosed in a shoe.
To reduce the number of germs, wash your feet daily and dry them completely. Swabbing between the toes with rubbing (isopropyl) alcohol – even an alcohol pad – is another inexpensive remedy. Be aware that alcohol should not be used on an open wound.

Wear socks made from fabrics that are engineered to draw moisture away from the skin, such as Coolmax.
Use foot powder or a topical antiperspirant.
Change your socks at least once times per day.
Rotate your shoes and allow them to dry out between uses.
